Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability: Carbon Cycle
Carbon cycle sciences are evolving rapidly, from the exclusivity of research institutions to the forefront of policy and public debate on the causes of climate change and ways to stabilize atmospheric greenhouse gases.
The collection of papers presented in this issue of Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability highlights some of this scientific evolution led or facilitated by the efforts of the Global Carbon Project (GCP). It includes both new scientific results from global and regional syntheses, and key future research and operational needs to meet the growing demand for carbon-climate information. This Issue also marks the first 10 years of GCP's efforts to foster a coordinated global research agenda.
