Theme 3: Carbon Management
Urban and Regional Carbon Management (URCM) - Website
This theme promotes research into the likely dynamics of the carbon-climate-human system into the future, and what points of intervention and windows of opportunity exist for human societies to manage this system. Importance is placed on the carbon consequences of regional development pathways and impacts on the whole earth system in light of the trade offs and synergies between changes in carbon stocks and fluxes.
